Tentang Kami
SOLOPUTRI is a handmade textile product which made with love, by local artisan from Indonesia. SOLOPUTRI is the name of a lovely little girl from Kota Solo who love the culture & the diversity of Indonesia. To produce patterns, we use the art of folding, stitching and binding, followed by dyeing it in natural fabric dye. This technique is well-know in Japan as Shibori, Tie Dye in US, or in INDONESIA as JUMPUTAN (Java) & SASIRANGAN (Kalimantan). The natural fabric dye comes from Indigofera leaves, which is Eco-Friendly, and producing a natural blue color (indigo), that represent the beauty of Indonesia (the sky and the sea). To preserve the local wisdom, SOLOPUTRI combine this techniques with Indonesia’s cultural heritage, such as Batik Pattern MEGA MENDUNG, TRUNTUM, KAWUNG, PARANG, LERENG, and other Indonesian symbol such as JAVANESE GUNUNGAN and BOROBUDUR.
