ABOUT PROJECT MUMMY
We are a home fragrance brand with our studio located in a small village in Yogyakarta. Our dream is to empower local women in our village by teaching them with specialized skill sets relative to producing our core product, and educating them along the way about the best working practices. By collaborating with these local women, often confined to general house duties while the men farm in the local fields, Project Mummy offers them education, training, recipes, and the material base to produce our home fragrance products.
Once these women have learnt and understand the techniques and processes involved in creating our sustainable products, Project Mommy enters into a trade partnership with these groups of women where they become an integral part of our core supply chain, allowing the women to gain a fair profit, that gives them financial stability, contributes to increasing their family income and empowering them as strong, hardworking and independent women in the community.
We believe it is important to empower local women so they can participate fully in economic life. This is essential to build stronger economies and achieving goals for a more sustainable community life. Because when women participate in micro economic scale, it will help increasing the household income, thus will improve the quality of life for women, men, families, and communities. According to UN Women, the private sector is a key partner in efforts to advance gender equality and empower women (UN Women, 2016).

ABOUT OUR CANDLES
We try to live more sonsciously so we make candles that are earth friendly. Project Mummy candles are 100% made of soy wax. Paraffin free, Palm Wax free and Beeswax free.
Our candles are made in small batches in our studio located in Prambanan, Yogyakarta and blended fragrences that re phthalate free, skin safe if spilled and our wooden wick make our candles cleanly all the way down.
Every single candle is poured by hand, labled and packed by hand. We are proud to make a product that is beautiful, sustainable and 100% made in Indonesia. We are also Vegan and Vegatarian friendly, No animals are harmed in the making of our candles.
