We are a home fragrance brand with our studio located in a small village in Yogyakarta. Our dream is to empower local women in our village by teaching them with specialized skill sets relative to producing our core product, and educating them along the way about the best to working practices. By collaborating with these local women, often confined to general house duties while the men farm in the local fields, Project Mummy offers them education, training, recipes, and the material base to produce our home fragrance products. We believe it is important to empower local women so they can participate fully in economic life. This is essential to build stronger economies and achieving goals for a more sustainable community life. Because when women participate in micro economic scale, it will help increasing the household income, thus will improve the quality of life for women, men, families, and communities. According to UN Women, the private sector is a key partner in effort to advance gender equality and empower women (UN Women, 2016).
